This CENTAURUS
38 catamaran was built in Riga on the Baltic Sea in 1990. It’s
12 meters long and 7,50 meters wide with 2 outboard engines ( 50cv ),
a rotating wing mast, and dual keels. The roomy Los Roques
features approx.100m2 of interior space. It sleeps 8 passengers in 4 rooms,
with large spaces for sun tanning and a 25 square meter trampoline area.
The vessel is fully equipped, featuring radar, GPS, VHF radio, sonar, anchor, 220V power supply, solar panels, refrigerator, cd player, and of course a barbecue!
Last but not least, the Los Roques is fast. It will outrun standard-hull sailboats every time.
Andrea
Bramanti has been sailing since he was a child. Sailing is his
true passion. He has sailed solo all over the Mediterranean and across
both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. He has even sailed
up the Amazon river. In 1996, he quit his job as an architect and dedicated
himself to sailing full time, sailing to Africa, America, and Polynesia
with his family over three years. Recently he’s been sailing the
Tuscan Archipelago, Sardinia and Corsica.
Andrea founded the FRANCA 2 sailing association that organizes sightseeing cruises in the maritime sanctuary of whales in Ligurian Sea.
He also volunteers with the Jacques Mayol Foundation and between 2003 and 2008 he mapped dolphin and whale sightings along the Tuscan and Eastern Corsican coasts.
Above
all, Andrea is a sailor and a teacher with a passion
for the sea and the environment.
